Themotheous is an aided school under the administration of Chaldean
Syrian Church Schools. It was started at Kuriachira on 1926, as an L.P.School.
On 1950-51, it was upgraded to
U.P.School.This school was started on
July,1958. On 1961-62, L.P had been detached, UP and high school session united
together. Mr.Paul Venghassery was the first Head Master.
Now our Head Mistress is Mrs.O.D.Sudha. We have 11
divisions and 400 students. We have 16 teaching and 4 non-teaching staffs.
Students have many more facilities in this school like Library, Computer Lab,
Science Lab etc.
In the absence of other schools in the neighbourhood,
number of students were very high. Many
more students studied in this school on later years. Since the number of
schools in the neighbourhood increased, the number of students in this school
decreased.

Mrs.Sara Joseph , who got the Kerala Sahitya Academy Award for her famous novel
“Aalaahayute Penmakkal”, was our student.

Mr.N.O.Inasu (Lawyer) who is a counselor now is our O.S.A
President
AWARDS
Maths club, Social science club, Science club, Sahitya
vedi, Nature club, Health club etc are very active in this school.
Gayathry P.S. from our school got second prize in Kathaprasangam sub district level competition (Hs) . We have got first prize in
bamboo products and third prize in book
binding in the district level competitions for up section.
Our Mathematics club got second prize in Mathematics
manuscript magazine “Kanakinte Kanavazhikalilute”. Also they scored 80 points
overall and became 7th
place in the district level
Mathematics exhibition.
Ravanya.P.R. from Std VII A got consolation prize for
district level Mathematics essay competition.
