About us
Govt.Vocational Higher Secondary School is situated at Ollur in Thrissur District, Kerala State in India.This Institution started functioning more than 150 years ago.Now it is a full fledged mixed school with all facilities.
About School
Govt.Vocational Higher Secondary School,Ollur started functioning more than 150 years ago.Initially the school was located just on the southern side of St.Mary's Convent,Ollur.It was started as a lower Secondary School.Subsequently the school was shifted to St.Antoney's Forane Church building at ollur on rental basis.When the strength of the school raised over 1500,the school was shifted to the present premises in 1979,near Christopher Nagar by the side of N.H 47, within the Thrissur Corporation boundary.
Sri.Sahasra Namayyar was the 1st Head Master of this school.The eminent Malayalam Poet Sri.Vailoppilly Sreedhara Menon was the 17th Head Master of this institution.Rtd .Deputy Directors Sri.Velayudhan ,Smt.Santa and present DD. Smt.Syamala were the heads of this instituition.When other institutions were started in and around ollur the strength of the school considerably reduced.
Present
With the introduction of vocational Higher Secondary in 1991,golden days of this instiution has been returned.Now we have U.P,H.S and VHSE classes and have applied for Cosmetology & Agriculture Courses in VHSC.

Computer Lab
Well equipped computer lab with LCD Projector.Mrs.Gayathree V.G is in charge of Computer Lab
Science Lab
The Labs are well equipped.Mrs.Usha Antony is in charge of Science Lab.
Library
There are 15000 books in various languages and in various subjects.Mrs.Pushkala K.S is in charge of library.
Noon Feeding
School provides noon feeding to the students upto 8th standard.Mrs.Lincy K.J is in charge of Noon Feeding.
Play Ground
School has a play ground of vast area.It is utilised for Foot Ball coaching
