Mannampetta is an agricultural village situated in Allagappanagar panchayath of Mukundapuram Taluk in Thrissur district.

In the year 1935 Matha h.s. was established in this calm and serene village.

Then after 28 years in 1963 this school was upgraded as U.P. and again after 20 years it became high school.

Matha h.s. has an infrastructure with 45 classrooms, computer labs for U.P. and highschool students and other facilities like library, laboratory etc. 64 dedicted staff are working in this school. This institution enlightens 1722 students in the power of knowledge.

The statistics of S.S.L.C. results reveals the standard of teaching and learning provided in this school. Every year the success rate in S.S.L.C. is more than 90%. In the years 1983,1990 and 1991 this school got 100% in S.S.L.C.

This school presents excellence in non academic fields also. This school’s students brought laurel to this institution by getting first place in three consecutive years i.e. 2002,2003 ,2004 and in 2007 for CHENDAMELAM in state youth festivals held in different place. They also got second place in the year 2005&2006.
